4th Quarter Retreat Personal Discovery Exercises

 4th Quarter:

It’s Your Time

Personal Discovery Exercises

There are six (6) personal-discovery pre-retreat assignments that you must complete before arriving.  These are great exercises – they will reveal some of the things that God has written on your heart.
These exercises will take some time, the longest of which will be the picture exercise and your life-line.  Don’t put it off to the last minute.  Our hearts don’t speak well under pressure, so don’t work on it between commercials or just before going to bed.  Take your time and enjoy the exercises.  They really are very revealing and fun.  Please read the instructions for the picture exercise and life-line exercise.  The other exercises are self-explanatory.

1. Experience Exercise
2. LifeLine
    Instructions for the lifeline exercise
3. Passion Theme Exercise  (If you can’t think of any movies, I suggest that you to go IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base) and click “Top 250” movies” to jog your memory)
4. Passion Word Exercise
5. Picture Exercise Instructions
6. Rich Uncle Exercise

For the men who have attended a Calling Intensive Worship, having already done these exercises, we would encourage you to do them again since you are in a different place now.  Our team has done these several times over the years and have gained greater clarity and understanding.  The only thing that you will need to do with the LIfeLine exercise is bring it up to date.

These questions, as you look though your journals, may add to the depth of your LifeLine:

What has God said to me over the years about who I am and what I have to offer?

What has God been saying to me these last six months, or in this current season of my life?

What have I seen to be fruit in my life? What does that confirm about God’s words to me (from above bullets)?

What needs to be done, overcome, adjusted?

What have been my abiding (chronic) struggles in life?

What fears am I experiencing?

What do I desire, what do I want, love, dream about?

What in my life needs to be: renewed, revised, dropped, and created?

What do I believe God is up to?
